Collection: Dog Bowls, Food and Treat Dispensers & Slow feeders

Eating too quickly can actually be harmful to your dog and can cause a serious medical emergency called "bloat." If you have a dog that eats quickly, we recommend you use a slow feeder, or even a treat dispenser (use same measured portion) for food during mealtimes.

We also recommend each dog have a separate food dish (same water dish is generally okay) and they eat in their own designated area. Using these methods will help reduce the dog in feeling like they need to scarf their food down or compete and decrease the likelihood of food aggression. *This is especially important for dogs who were previously stray or rescued from unknown environments.

Dog food dishes shouldn't be left out all day; they should only be out when the dog is eating or for 15-20 minutes after they have been served.

Tip: If you're out of town with your dog or looking to save money, sometimes placing a large ball (or toy) in a regular food bowl during meals helps them eat slower!
